Umkomaas Diving Trip: 14 – 17 June 2019

Shark and Wreck Diving

Umkomaas is an ideal destination for divers. It is home to the Aliwal Shoal which has become synonymous with shark diving opportunities. This reef attracts over 1200 species of fish, sharks, whales, rays and turtles. This is not its only appeal as it is an incredible location for wreck diving. You’ll never be bored visiting this ideal diving spot. So, of course, we’ll be taking a trip there. Book out your calendar from 14 June 2019 to 17 June 2019 for some of the most fun you can have with a wetsuit on. Working with our friends at Blue Ocean we’ll take you on four dives and an optional baited shark dive. One dive can be a Wreck Adventure dive, should seeing a sunken ship be your idea of fun.

Baited shark dives are done without cages so you can experience the same freedom these misunderstood predators experience in the waters off the Umkomaas coast. This is an experience you would not want to miss. A baited shark dive is an ideal experience if you fear sharks or are simply intrigued by these giants of the deep. Many divers have yet to see a shark on a dive. Become one of the lucky ones who have had the fortune of diving with these misunderstood creatures. Your expanded knowledge about sharks can help dispel misconceptions and protect them.
