Avoid Red Sea Diving Experience surprises

Please when shopping around for your Red Sea diving experience, check the following to avoid disappointing surprises;

  1. Check the terms and conditions as they say ,and freely do, that they can change the pricing closer the time.
  2. Compare and check that it is really all inclusive,for example if they say “ free beer “ that it isn’t just one free beer a day and in fact is free beer. That goes for taxes,tips,surcharges,transfers etc.
  3. Use common sense in the matter that if your trip is dated for 1 June and the pricing for the whole trip is R16000 and you google the flight they use pricing is R18000 for the flights alone then there is a problem coming somewhere.

Three options, find the perfect one for you

  1. Northern Wrecks and Reefs per person – R22 999 + Airport Tax (currently R4000) payable 60 days before departure +165 Euro paid in cash Euro on the boat.
  2. South BDE per person – R24 999 + Airport Tax (currently R4000) payable 60 days before departure +165 Euro paid in cash Euro on the boat.
  3. Back to back two weeks in the Red Sea both North & South R41 499 + Airport Tax (currently R4000) payable 60 days before departure + 330 Euro paid in cash Euro on the boat.

Red Sea Diving North and Tiran

A combination of the Northern Wrecks and reefs, with an extension route up in to the Gulf of Aqaba, where we visit the island of Tiran.

The Wrecks and Reefs itinerary gets to some of the most iconic dive sites Egypt has to offer, as well a few of lesser known beauties. After the check dive, this tour starts in style. The Northern Red Sea is a wreck diver’s delight. The Dunraven, Giannis D and Carnatic only add to the excitement. These 19th and 20th century wrecks have, over the course of time, formed artificial reefs but each is still packed with unique artefacts that tell their story. The mighty SS Thistlegorm – Probably the most famous of the Red Sea wrecks. The 129m English Freighter was bombed by German aviation on 6th October 1941. Today she creates an artificial reef on a sandy bottom at 32m max depth. She is home to an enormous variety of marine life and is especially popular with large schooling fish.

Tiran and Ras Mohammed are rightly two of the best known areas for diving in the Northern Red Sea. The coral gardens play host to hundreds and thousands of candy coloured fish. The deep walls of Tiran mirror the startling drop offs of Ras Mohammed. Blue spotted sting rays, eagle rays and manta abound and the summer months see large pelagic sharks gather on the drop off – The dive spots here include Thomas, Woodhouse, Jackson Reef (with the merchant ship wreck Lara) and Gordon Reef. These reefs offer the very best in wall diving with plunging coral walls, gorgonians and fire corals with endless visibility. Turtles and Blue spotted Rays have often been spotted around this area.

South Red Sea Liveaboard Diving

In these incredibly beautiful wall dives you will spot a diverse array of marine species and large pelagic. Large tuna, jacks and snappers cruise in the blue, accompanied by occasional hammerheads, silvertips, silky and oceanic white tip sharks and mantas. Even the rare thresher shark can be found here. Sightings of the grey reef shark are almost guaranteed on the North and South Plateau of Small Brother.

Daedulus with its wall drop offs offer some of the most incredible diving found. Daedalus has mountainous, pristine, hard coral formations with a cooling current which gives us the opportunity to see schooling hammerheads and grey reef sharks. Elphinstone has sheer walls and small softer corals giving sightings to the White Tip Oceanic.
