Scuba diving is quite a relaxing sport, right? However, that doesn’t mean that you’re not doing any physical exercise. Scuba diving requires a certain degree of muscular strength and endurance. If you consider only the fact that while on a diving mission, you carry gear that often weighs up to 30 kg, easy. In addition to this, a diver’s muscles need to be string to be able to endure the challenging conditions that sometimes arise in the underwater world. Today, we focus on the core – the abdominal and lower back muscles essential in balance in stability.

Whether your abs are visible or not, your  core muscles are essential in stabilizing the body through the complex movements associated with scuba diving.

Here are a few core and abdominal strengthening exercises to add to your workout regime.
